Am Montag, 15.11.2021: Einführung der 3G-Regel für die UB // On Monday, November, 15th, 2021: Introduction of the 3G rule for the University Library

From Monday, November, 15th, 2021, we will improve our range of service:

  • All workplaces are completely available at all library locations.
  • Group study rooms can be used as group study rooms again. A reservation can be made via the group room reservation system as early as Friday, November, 12th, 2021 for the coming Monday.
  • All PC workstations, scanners and copiers can be used again.
  • In addition, you can still order all borrowable media via the Katalog plus for collection. The collection point is the circulation desk of the respective (branch-)library.

In order to be able to implement this safely for you, the University Library introduces the obligation for all library users to provide evidence of 3G. This means that you will have to show proof of vaccination, convalescent or current test certificate (no self-test) when entering the Main Library or the Branch Libraries. You can also prove vaccination or convalescent status by showing the 2G-Vignette on your USiCard or chip key.

The 3G proof also applies to anyone who only wants to pick up items that have been provided or who wants to return media at the circulation desks.

Users who want to study and work in the library will also continue to be registered by borrowing visitor cards. For this reason, please have your library card/USiCard ready.

Please also note that for entering the library and moving within the library rooms, e.g. at the shelves or the scanners, the mask obligation („OP mask“ or a mask of the KN95/N95 or FFP2 standard) remains in force. However, the mask may be removed at the workplace.
