Anfang 2024 wird die UB von Web of Science zu Scopus als neue Abstract- und Zitationsdatenbank wechseln. Ab dem 01.01.2024 erreichen Sie Scopus über Shibboleth oder über VPN über diesem Link: https://www.scopus.com.
Scopus verfügt ausschließlich über peer-reviewte, von einem Gremium aus internationalen Expert*innen kuratierte Literatur aus validierten Quellen zu über 333 Fachgebieten. Die Datenbank bietet leistungsstarke Recherche- und Analyseewerkzeuge, die Ihnen dabei helfen, relevante Informationen zu finden, Forschungstrends zu beobachten, neu veröffentlichte Forschung zu verfolgen und Fachexpert*innen zu identifizieren. In Scopus sind über 91 Millionen Datensätze, die ältesten von 1778, aus über 28.200 aktiven Serientiteln und mehr als 292.000 Fachbüchern von über 7.000 Verlagen oder Herausgebern zu finden. In den circa 17,6 Millionen Autor*innen-Profilen sind auch über 1 Millionen Preprints verzeichnet. Die derzeit etwa 1,8 Milliarden Referenzen reichen zurück bis zum Jahr 1970. Über die Autor*innen-Profile können h-index und h-Grafiken analysiert werden. Der Zugriff auf die Profile ist auch ohne Lizenz über Scopus Preview möglich. Für die quantitative Beurteilung von Publikationen werden neben den CiteScore-Metriken auch der SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) und der Source-Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP) angeboten. Mit den PlumX-Metriken auf Artikelebene wird auch der Einfluss in online-Medien sichtbar. Details zu den Metriken erfahren Sie hier.

Anfang Januar wird es Schulungen zu Scopus geben, Informationen dazu werden hier im BibBlog veröffentlicht.
Die Datenbank Web of Science wird ab Januar 2024 nicht mehr zur Verfügung stehen, die Inhalte werden aber über einen Archivzugang retrospektiv zugänglich sein. Wir empfehlen Ihnen daher, Ihre gespeicherten Suchen oder Alerts zu sichern, so dass Sie diese in Scopus nachbilden können.

In the new year, the University Library will switch from Web of Science to Scopus as new abstract and citation database. From 01.01.2024 you will access Scopus via Shibboleth or VPN via this link: https://www.scopus.com .
Scopus only contains peer-reviewed literature curated by a panel of international experts from validated sources in over 333 subject areas. The database offers powerful search and analysis tools to help you to find relevant information, monitor research trends, track newly published research and identify experts. In Scopus you will find more than 91 million records, the oldest dated from 1778, from over 28.000 active serial titles and more than 292.000 books from 7.000 publishers. In about 17,6 million author profiles are also more than 1,9 million preprints included. The 1,8 billion cited references date back to 1970. H-index and h-graph can be analysed via the author profiles. The access to the profiles is possible without licence via Scopus Preview. For the quantitative assessment of publications Scopus offers beneath the CiteScore metrics also the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) and the Source-Normalized Impact per Paper (SNIP). The database Web of Science will no longer be available from January 2024, but the data will be retrospective available via an archive access. We recommend you to save your searches and alerts, so you can reproduce them in Scopus.
