Aufgrund der aktuellen Lage (english version below) ist ab Mittwoch, 18. März 2020 bis voraussichtlich 19. April 2020, nur noch die Hauptbibliothek Hölderlinstraße (H) als zentrale Ausleih- und Rückgabestelle geöffnet, und zwar montags bis freitags in der Zeit von 8:00 bis 16:00 Uhr. Die anderen Bibliotheksstandorte bleiben während dieser Zeit geschlossen.
Daraus ergeben sich folgende Änderungen bei unseren Services und Dienstleistungen:
– die Bibliothek steht als Lernort nicht mehr zur Verfügung – dies gilt auch für die Benutzerarbeitsplätze in der Hauptbibliothek Hölderlinstraße. Die Carrels, Gruppenarbeitsräume usw. bleiben geschlossen.
– alle ausleihbaren Medien können Sie über den Katalog plus bestellen und in der Regel nach zwei Werktagen in der Hauptbibliothek H abholen. Bitte sehen Sie aber zuvor in Ihrem Benutzerkonto nach, ob der Titel abholbereit ist.
– die Rückgabe von Medien ist nur noch in der Hauptbibliothek H oder postalisch möglich.
– in ganz Nordrhein-Westfalen können ab sofort keine Fernleihbestellungen mehr aufgegeben werden. Die Abholung von bereits bestellten Fernleih-Medien und die Rückgabe ist nur noch in der Hauptbibliothek Hölderlinstraße (H) möglich.
– gedruckte Dissertationen und Habilitationen können weiterhin abgegeben werden, jedoch nur nach telefonischer Absprache (Tel.: 0271/740-4294) und nur in der Zeit von 8:30 Uhr bis 12:00 Uhr.
– es finden keine Bibliotheksführungen und Schulungen mehr statt.
Alle Online-Medien wie unsere eJournals, eBooks und Datenbanken sind aber selbstverständlich weiterhin nutzbar.

Restrictions of Siegen University Library services
Due to the rapidly changing situation around Coronavirus (COVID-19) Siegen University Library will close all branch libraries from Wednesday, March 18th to expectedly April 19th, only the Main Library Hölderlinstraße (H) will offer a restricted service from Mondays to Fridays (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) for lending and returning books.
Thereof the following changes of our services are necessary:
– The library will not serve as a learning center, this applies also to the user work places in the Main Library Hölderlinstraße. The carrels and group rooms etc. stay closed.
– All borrowable media can be requested via the library catalogue (Katalog plus). Please allow up to two workdays between ordering the items and picking them up. Your online account will give you the necessary status information.
– Returning items is only possible in the Main Library Hölderlinstraße or via postal service.
– Due to the shut down of the regional interlibrary loan service no further ILLs can be ordered for the time being. The collection of items already ordered via interlibrary loan and the returning of items is only possible in the Main Library Hölderlinstraße.
– Printed dissertations and habilitations can still be submitted, but only after an arrangement by phone (tel. 0271/740-4294) and only from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
– The course program has been cancelled.
All online media like eJournals, eBooks and databases are of course still usable.
