Currently, there are increasing numbers of phishing e-mails with the goal of capturing sensitive information such as access data and also distributing male software. They are disguised as an alleged e-mail from the University Library and contain the notice that the validity of your library account is supposed to expire soon.
However, this is a malicious e-mail that was not sent by the University Library, but aims to get you to click on the link it contains. The URL of the link leads to a website that can infect your computer with malware.
The Siegen University Library does not send any e-mails indicating that your libraty account is about to expire.
